The plantation is very common in Bucchianico and some towns nearby. This valued cultivar is widespread in the area as varietal olive groves.
Olives characteristics: gradual ripening, medium-high extraction yield (16/18%), medium content of polyphenols, light-medium level of fruitiness .
Ripening and harvest: medium late harvest, from the first decade of November.
The olive tree has a vast and spreading crown, medium size trunk.
Branches have long internodes, leaves are large and have a dark glossy green color above, no arching layer.
The stone-fruit is medium size (1,89 - 2,31 gr), ellipsoidal shape with sub-conical apex, medium- high flesh-to-pit ratio (77,4%-82,7%).
The fruit during harvest is almost never ripe, the color of the drupe is green and turn wine-red. The peduncle is long, separation resistance.
